Talking Another Ford win in Nascar

Dale Jarrett first
Mark Martin second.
Pocono 500 both driving sb 358 Fords turning 9,200 rpms for four hours. I wonder what it takes to get a 427 to turn 9,200 rpms?

Cool Why 9200?

Cranky,

Stupid question!!! Why would you want to turn 9200 in a "big block" 427??? All the TQ & Hp are developed by 6000!!! By the sounds of your question, you've been judging way too many car shows & listening to the waxers talk smack or smelling to much wax...

As a Southern Californian once said "Can't we all get along?"

o'spotter

P.S. will repond to your e-mail tonite... Just got back from CTS race in Texas...

Spotter,
I'm on a hot streak now (1 win) and don't try to confuse things with real facts.

Try the $44,000 that one of those babies cost. It took the C5R gang almost two years to finally give up go with a big block to catch the viper. But wait, Mr. Saleen has been tapping at their door with a big block on the blue oval side with a "single entry staus" on a po'boy budget.
Jist stirring............cubes rule!

Grumpy,
Mr. Saleens BB is an SVO windsor stroker, still considered a sb. putting out 600hp if he was to use a Nascar 358 he could pick up an easy 200hp. Don't ask me how that works I am only reporting what I have read. Of course the Nascar motors only have a useful life of about 600 miles.
