Second Strike on Track - Fall 2002

September 21-22, 2002

Planning for the fall event is underway and there is not a great deal I can tell you until we get some of the critical details in place. I can tell you this.

The dates will be September 21-22, which is a weekend. This is a change, so be sure to mark your calendar.

As before, the event will be designed as an instructional events where Superformance owners can learn to drive their cars quickly, skillfully, and safely in a controlled environment. This emphasis will be expanded.

As before, the event will be put on by Superformance owners for Superformance owners with the capable and appreciated assistance of the Olthoffs. First priority in registration is to Superformance owners and their cars. Other Cobra and Cobra replica owners and owners of other Ford powered high performance cars will be invited as space permits.

Al,

Update: We ain't going. Looks like they are having the event at Charlotte Speedway in September. We like the road course at VIR. We were hoping to hook up with an event where they run the whole course which is Car Guys and one other. But I don't see that happening this year.

...so, git yer sorry arse in the car and drive up to Watkins Glen. You and Earl, come on!!!!!

John,

Am I to understand by your post that the Second Strike event will not be held at VIR this Fall but instead at Charlotte?

Thanks,

John Bagley

John,

That's what the rumor mill has. Don't know if Charlotte is official.
Maybe someone on the ultra secret SPF forum can find out!

Thanks John,

I enjoy going to the VIR events as they are only about 2 hours from my home.(Been to the last 4) The Olthoffs will probably breathe a sigh of relief if the event is held in Charlotte as I won't be there to bend their ears, beg for rides etc. My plan it to buy an SPF from them in time for the Spring event next May. The wait is killing me...
