Spec Miata
I've run Spec Miata. It's ok. The cars have decent handling and very good brakes. The fields feature some nice competition as well.
But, I have to confess, running FFR Spec Cobra is a whole lot more fun and is actually cheaper to run. The FFRs are *way* faster and look/sound so much better. With the Mustang running gear and cheap parts (not to mention cheap tires that really last), we've found it is cheaper to run the Cobra than a Miata. The Miatas do have an advantage in that you can bump them and it isn't as expensive as the fiberglass though.
There are several spec miata web sites. You can start with sccaforum.com to get going.
