Default Camlift & Cam duration

I am new to this website and have a question which would like your support.

Presently, I am not driving a cobra. I am driving a Datsun B110 car with a modified Toyota 4AGTE turbo DOHC engine. I am not happy with my test performance and would like the car to run faster in the coming drag race on 24/8/2003 in our country.

My car and me weight about 1200pounds. Both my intake and exhaust HKS camshaft are same specs with 256 cam duration and 8.35mm camlift. My turbo is a Garrette TO4E with a turbo boost of 30psig driven by Microtech MTX-8 ECU. Dyno test of the engine is just about 450HP. My best test performance on 0-400m is about 8.8 seconds.

To all your experience, does the car be faster if I replace my present racing camshaft to Toda camshaft with 272 duration and 10.3mm camlift before I start dumping some amount of money to upgrade my car.

Any suggestion is well come.

Not trying to sound like a redneck hot rodder but this question would be better suited for a Ricer forum.

We talk cubic inches and cast iron not turbos, coffie cans and rice.

Not enough info to really now. If you are talking straight-line speed, you can focus on making the car lighter which is usually not too expensive. If you are talking about road speed, then a few hundred $$$ spent on the driver (driver school) is, by far, the most economical investment to make the car go faster.
