Default July Car & Driver FFR Cobra review.

Most of you probably have read the article about Dave Riha's (FFR Racing Engineer) car and it's problems in the Extreme sports comparisons.

Problems: Extremely over sensitive steering and too stiff suspension (springs and bushings are self explanatory).

Is this the result of a too quick steering box, or too much toe-out? Not enough positive caster, or all? Tire choice was also barely adequate for street or track use.

It was extremely shattering to see my next car do so poorly. Anyone that has "Track Days" experience please advise me. I'm more interested in a compromise street and track setup.

It's all marketing nonsense. Same reason why all the imports get glowing reviews and the domestics get creamed. Its perception and public expectation in conjunction with keeping the car manufacturers happy and engaged.

I read the article also and, I'm with Turboman. I'd like to hear what some of the more experienced guys have to say about the steering response.

Maybe Dave Riha could give us his read on the handling. I suspect it does exactly what he wants it to do - and he probably knows the how and why behind where it goes.
