Nasa
Just had a conversation with the Director of Competition for NASA regarding what class a KMP 259 would run in......
He said it would be in the Super Unlimited class..... The best part was that they have the HPDE schools and the Time Trials....and the Competition races...... And they have events on many different tracks....... Our concern was that we don't have the forward angle bars that go from the main roll bar to the front cowl hoop under the dash..... and they said it is OK to run with out them..... The few folks I talked to were very nice and it seemed like a good place to get started and have some fun...... Just thought I'd pass on the fact that there is an Organization that we can participate in and not have more rules then need be.... Morris |
saw these guys run last month @ Mid-Ohio for their inaugural NASA Championships and had the opportunity to meet Jerry Kunzman the C.E.O of NASA......great guy!!
I really enjoyed watching their FFR class running. here is a link http://nasaracer.com/ |
We were going to do a customer Mustang for their stuff a couple years ago and I called to clarify some of the chassis rules--they were more into NOT allowing extensive roll bar brcause there view was it stiffened the chassis and they didn't want to allow that

NASA Racing
We have a lot of tracks here on the East coast the have NASA events, WGI, Summit Point, LRP,VIR. Some of the SCCA guys say that NASA is easier to get along with, maybe because they are a smaller organization. I only do the HPDE and instructing but so far I like the way they run their events.Super unlimited is probably where the toughest competition will be.%/ :(

That windshield is cool. I saw another picture of a short windshield that was cool looking too somewhere recently. I think it was Trevor Legate's new book.
