Hey Dave I have a nikon F100, want to move into the digital world....whats the difference between D200 and the D80 do you know?

I too had an F100. I sold it and bought a D100, then upgraded to the D200. I'm not familiar with the new D80. I suggest you hang out at the Nikonians website ( http://www.nikonians.org) and I'm sure you can find the answer.
