I don't see what the big stink is about the show. The idea is sound. Two racers, a flagman, and negotiated starts. Just like old school street racing. That's the idea. As for the actual negotiations, nobody is getting 15 lengths. They don't even like to go over 5 lengths. The racers are supposed to bring cars that run similar ETs. If they lie, that's when the big mismatches come about. It's the racer's fault, not the shows. Besides, even if someone got 15 lengths, so what? It's called bracket racing, and more people in drag racing participate in that kind of racing than heads up. The only difference between the Pinks way and the bracket tree way is they start both cars at the same time, from different distances, instead of hold one car at the tree for a certain amount of time. Both methods are intended to have the cars finish the race at the same point.

Pinks, circa 2020.

Now that the Motor Law has been institutionalized for some years now, all participants have to have their rides fully bonded and registered by the Government before submitting their applications to appear on the show. Also, they have to show their certificates allowing them to burn fossil fuels in a motor vehicle, and are also limited to burn no more than 20 gallons per month at a nominal cost of $14.50 per gallon.

Each car has a transponder that is connected via wireless network to a central CPU that monitors the car's functions (everything from throttle position to how much pressure is exerted on the brakes).

Team #1: "He's sandbagging! You could hear that he lifted at the 1,000 foot mark!"

Team #2: "Naw...that was just the 'puter changing the aperature on the mufflers as he got into the upper rpms on the top end. Just a change in noise...that's all."

Referee: "Team #1 is correct. Your driver moved the throttle from 100% to 83% at 977 feet down the track. He also modulated the braking system through the lights with a tap at 1,314 feet."

Team #2: "Dayum...."

This piece of video trash could use a breakout rule to make the sandbaggers go away (of course that would kill the show and all its "drama"). Only in America can two piles of crap sit on a track and captivate an audience into guessing which one stinks more than the other. Pinks is a bad WWF presentation on wheels. Hit the commentator with a rubber wrench and throw him out of the ring. Total crap!

Did anyone see the episode where your beloved host got onto a Ninja Street Bike to head to the end of the track to check on a car? He biffed it pretty good, then acted like a goober while getting bandaged up. Best episode yet. BS 2233

I rarely watch the show but did see where that dildo dropped the bike, even though "he's beein riding all his life". I also saw the "all out" show where the girl won the $10K with the old Ford truck. Anybody notice that the distributor was against the fire wall in that truck? Of course it was a BBC.
