Actually, I thought the Pinks All Out segment was pretty good. Chick won all the money $10,000.00 in a 62 Ford Pickup.

The only automotive show worse than "Pinks" is "The Making of Pinks". Pure garbage.

Sandbagging central ... cars that cannot even do a 1/4 mile without breaking ... why not use a tree. I'd love to smack the host in the mouth.

I have only seen about 3 shows and now I avoid them.

I couldn't make it halfway through the first show. But hey, I like WWF.

I would bet the farm that the host has never changed a spark plug. Or he at least pulled a few one time and couldn't figure out how they went back in.

You are all probably right about the host and I will agree that each episode is more BS than racing. I guess if I wanted to hear a bunch of *****ing I could go back to work. BUT, the hour long show I saw last night was actually pretty good. They even disqualified a couple of people for sandbagging.

It is not a show I would normally watch because of all the crap.

They shouldn't even call these programs "reality" shows. Maybe unreality shows would be more accurate. So many of them are rehearsed.

add me to the list of those who just don't get this show... especially when it comes to the "negotiating" portion. It's like "Name that Tune" for cars. The fake drama & tension created is totally unbelievable. It's not even laughable. It's "reality" tv at its worst. I'd just as soon go to the dentist to get my gums scraped.

"Pinks" is a joke !~
when you have a guy getting 15.... car lengths advantage to equal out two cars,............that's fricken nuts, for a drag race. It's all about whom can negotiate better, not how fast the cars are. He might as well get a drag car vs. a scooter that starts the race at 1,300 ft of the total 1,320 ft, and see if the car can catch him !
The guy is a nerd & the show is a joke !

I am amazed that shows like this can even stay on TV. But then I am amazed that hundreds of thousands of people like NASCAR. But then I am also amazed that people in some countries eat cow dung, so what do I know

I started my drag racing back in the sixties....we did use a flag man..usually the best lookin chick available...what a shock when I had to learn the tree...trees back then were nothing like todays however...there was no staging..with the guy on pinks i would be gone as soon as i saw an arm flinch or a shoulder move....too much drama for my taste.....run what ya brung and go heads up on motor only...now that is racing for pinks(oh by the way in Illinois they are not pink but kinda greensih beige)

Why haven't we seen at least one occurrence where, in the fifth and final race of a match, both drivers pull the rev limit chip out of their ignition boxes? Then at the finish line, when it's crystal clear that one guy is about to lose his ride, he just mashes the pedal and grenades the engine as he rockets through the lights? "Here...You want my freekin' car?...Take it and the fragged motor that goes with it, a$$#@ll!"

I agree Pinks is stupid and sometimes childish, mucho sandbagging and even mucho BS.........

With that said, there were 4 cars from down here that went to one of their "trials" a few months ago and they said enough cars showed up and registered to make 3 more years of episodes, and that was just one trial, they have many all around the country........one guy told me the BS was totally unbelieveable and the "host" was a real jerk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems there are hundreds of folks willing to lose their ride for their 15 minutes of fame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least it's better than "survivor". Maybe not by much, but it does have cars in it. Oh and no naked old guys. That puts it over the top right there! HA!

red, I'm with you. I'd grenade that puppy big time before I let the other guy smirk and drive away in it!

They had an article about him in Hot Rod magazine last year, and in fact your right. He has absolutely zero car knowledge.
He thinks their "H6" hummer is cool

He was hawking a bunch of different 'reality' shows areound hollywood and for whatever reason this one stuck. (these shows are only reality in the daydreams of their producers).

Pinks is just another example of the "dumbing down" of Speed. Really a shame what is happening to Roger Werner's brainchild. How about some variety? Some SCCA club racing, NASA, WRC, Sprint Car stuff, etc?
