Las Vegas Motor Speedway Open Track

Greetings

I am planning on renting the LVMS road course facility in the fall and I am wondering if anyone on the forum would care to join us? We have insurance, a tow truck, ambulance, fire truck and marshals - it is pretty organized except for the rules. We have two run groups:

A: I am new to this so I need my space - passing only in designated areas with pointing and care. Coaches available.

B: I am comfortable on the track. Passing anywhere , anytime on either side. This means in corners, esses and under braking.

There is nothing like being passed by a full race 911 that you didn't see coming to help you pick your group....

We have done this for 10 years at various tracks and have never had car-car contact. It is also pretty cheap because we do not care to make money at this at all. We take the rental fee and divide in the number of cars and that is what it costs. We have only 30 slots total...

I should add for those that are worried about their cars that typically there are some Z06 Corvettes, an F40, a Testarossa some Modenas, some Mustangs, a few 911 Turbos and a sprinkling of M3's. Nobody has a car they want to lose so we all drive accordingly.

You can swap from one group to the other ,so it is possible to get almost 8 hours of track time.. which will pretty well pooch your car.

We have done this at Buttonwillow in the past and although both Buttonwillow and particularily Lost Hills are both icons of culture, I am thinking we can find stuff to do in Las Vegas as well.

Buttonwillow was $200- for the day including lunch , by the way....

If you have interest, please PM me so we can put you on the mailer..

Regards

Which Track? The roval or the outside, vintage track? Both are nice.

We would like to do the banks, but they have been jacked up to 20 degrees which makes the transition pretty tough. We are going over to have a look..
