Bourdais drove a great line at Long Beach.
Hi Guys,
Bourdais sure did put on a clinic yesterday at the CART race at Long Beach.
I was particularly impressed with how he setup the 35 mph hairpin that lead to the front straight.
From what I could tell he was turning in a full car length later that his competitors which allowed him to take a late apex and get on the gas before everyone else.
It looked to me like the other guys were turning in too early and thus running out of room ( getting closer to the wall ) on exit and had to *****foot all the way around the corner until they could accelerate.
I’m just a want to be racer, but I can remember my instructors preaching over and over that “ whoever gets on the gas first wins”.
This is easier said then done, but I'm hoping I can keep this in mind this Friday at the NASA school I'm attending
see y'all at the races
