I haven't looked into them for over a decade. At that time, the amount of increase for the $$ involved made any number of aftermarket parts a better choice, I doubt that has changed. Well it probably has somewhat, there are many more choices in the aftermarket than at that time. IMHO the only reason to use extrudehone, is rules that require a stock intake. I recall at one time you could purchase a nice new Cobra F.I. intake for what it cost to have your stock one done and the power increase didn't come close to what the bolt-on gave. The process was originated when there were fewer choices, but I think it now has limited applications, at least for anyone that wants some big HP increases.
