Default Thunderbolt Raceway in NJ

PDA is signed up for two events next year.(2008) The first will be mid to late July and the second in the fall.
2009 PDA will have three, three day events.(could this be the new home of Club Cranky)
The track is completely excavated and stone will be laid down shortly. If we have a mild winter(thanks Al Gore) the track should be ready for the SAAC convention in early July.

Hope it happens. SAAC, in their announcement, said that they would be the first official "event" of Thunderbolt...as long as it gets open by May '08.

Maybe this will give me something to do in NJ while I’m visiting my daughter at Rutgers.

Sounds like a fun day trip. I will try to check out the progress during one of my trips back there. Look at that kart track!

YES!!!!! I had no idea that the track had boke ground and that they may hold the convention here! This is great news! Made my day! This is only about a nice 25 minute ride west from me here in Marmora. Hopefully 4300 will be ready in time for the trip!

Yeah, I knew it was in your backyard....

SAAC has been itching for this venue...
..if it is not ready by a drop-dead date in the Spring, the fall-back is to have the 2008 Convention back at VIR....so be ready to go there with CSX4300 as well.

Had no idea about this. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully it will not be delayed like everything else in NJ.

I love that part of NJ- much of it is still just farmland. I imagine this track won't have much in the way of elevaton changes since it's pretty flat down there. Does anybody remember the racetrack in Vineland? very close to Millville.

If you like you can keep your Cobra in my spare garage and when you come to visit I will have your car at the track and warmed up ready to go.

It is supposed to have the same flavor as VIR since it is designed by the same architect and this track is owned by Harvey Seigel as well.
