Default Kirkham Upright and Porsche Bearings

Thought you guy's would like to see why you want the Kirkham uprights .....

Because they are using the Porsche 930 wheel bearings ....we can support the car by sticking a tube in the spindle and setting it on Jack stands.....

This makes it easy to set the suspension and change the sway bars..... not to count it's just much easier.....

This was right as we were going out for the first session...... at Road America.....

Steve was driving and we were holding him down to 6500 rpm's down the straight away...... about 170 mph ....three times a lap......

He did a great job since it was his first time on the track and his times were coming down fast...... and we were on year old tires......

If we turn this car and Steve loose .... it could easily pull 7500 down the straight at elkhart and run in the 180mph area...... and stable as can be.....

Animal is just a tame name for what it is. Morris' Cobra is over a $250,000.00 investment in racing performance at the level most of us can only dream about. Morris and his brother will be at Run and Gun competing against some of the best factory sponsored drivers around in the Unlimited Hot Shoe Class.

It's show time for this years Run and Gun!

Default kirkham uprights

Seņor Bruce

Here is a rear upright. I don't have the bearings at the house, or I would have taken a photo of it too. Kirkham should get some sort of design award for these because they are brilliant. They are forged aluminum and the bearings are HUGE. Much nicer than original cast pieces!

Default Got a Question?

Very beautiful car Morris! Very beautiful.
Question: You are looking at 185mph, What about Dick Smiths's 198mph about 40 years ago with one tenth the tech? I am not a racer and have very little track time but I have been 180mph indicated in my Murcielago on the street ( with more to go easy). Are you "soft pedeling" us here? My gut tells me you are talking 180's but really thinking the thin air? What gives?

Boss

We were talking about running at Road America.......and 185 is fast at Road America.......

Like Dick Smith we'd have to be at Daytona to be able to run the higher speeds....... And I have no doubt the sky is the limit......

The Aero package is working better then we expected it and the front view of the car is very small in relationship to many of the other cars......

Most of the tracks will limit the speed by the length of the straight away..... and Daytona is the only one with a nice banked long straight away.....
