Default Questions about the Level 1 Course at Summit Point Raceway, Washington DC

I am thinking of trying the Level 1 and Level 2 course at Summit Point Raceway in Washington DC. You are allowed to drive your own Cobra's there. Has anyone attended this course, and is it worth the money?

Different clubs probably rent the track for different events. Join one of the clubs, pay for some track time, and you'll get what you need. Most clubs require a little instructor time in the passenger seat, which is always good.
Have fun and be safe.

I did Racing Adventures 3 or 4 years ago at Summit Point- levels 1 and 2. I thought it was very valuable (as a new Cobra owner at the time) and would do it again if they were just a little bit closer. I drove their cars.

I have also done what Bailey recommends- but found that the open track dates with clubs do not really give you much instruction compared to RA.

One of my favorite drills was after lunch- the instructor said "Draw me a picture of the race track"- those who got it right got to go out for free laps. The rest had to stay in until they could do it correctly. Good visualization technique I use to this day.

Rick:

You are welcome, along with any other Cobra drivers, to join us (www.MVPTrackTime.com) at Summit Point in September or our other track events with the Cobra.
