Default round 14" air cleaner fit?

i would like to fit a 14" air cleaner under my hood but i know it will take a larger scoop. i know a 10" will fit though be taller since the 14" would be a drop base style and i have to clear the throttle linkage. i could also go with a 10" wide by however long.

what i would like to do is use a 14" round. has anyone done this, pictures, etc? the jbl has a nice size air scoop but the 14" doesn't fit i don't believe.

We've done some chassis dyno tests with the dropped filter assembly and you will not get as much air into the carb., as you will with the standard base filter.

roger. looks like a 14" sticking well through the hood then.

you didn't happen to compare a 10" and a 14" did you?

We did not but, a 10" will be enough. The Stellings & Hellings did not do well.
