Default Roll Cage for an ERA FIA

Has anyone thought about a roll cage or full width roll bar in an ERA FIA? It would be nice to have a bolt in unit that would satisfy the track day requirements for an insructor but but be able to come out so as to not ruin the vintage look. Strictly personal, fire up your design program.

Pat,

I am actually headed to ERA next week, in advance of my FIA build, and will be going over this very same question, with Peter, Bob and crew. I have a few ideas, but will see what the Wizards of New Britain come up with. I'll keep you posted.

Default Cage in ERA FIA

I had some side braces and a rear brace added in my ERA. There is also a brace under the dash, running from one door post to the other. I also made the center dash braces functional, out of thicker material, and made brackets to tie them into the frame and the under-dash cross brace.

There are a few more shots in my photo gallery.

Jeff
