Default Adjustable Rear Links

I am setting up my rear axle with a four link suspension and I have heard that adjustable rear links are critical for setting the correct pinion angle. For my A&C kit I ordered nonadjustable rear links--how important are the adjustable ones---are they 'must haves' ?

Well if you can align your pinion angle without adjusting I would say your good. But my guess is, that happening is pretty slim.

Default adjustable arms

I bought the adjustable arms from acc, don't do that. They do not have rod ends just rubber bushings. I couldn't get the right pinion angle and the rearend side to side. Mine is set up minus angle to get it to bite harder on take off. I tried to set mine to stock length not good, off any direction you put a tape to. Hope this helps.

I think this is the supplier Hurricane uses:

UB Machine Inc.

My Ford 9" has fully adjustable links using their trailing arms and heim joints.

Default Rear Links

I bought the complete kit and it came with non-adjustable links. I haven't had any problems. I just figured Joe had the right setup for my car. You might call and ask him.

Thanks for the responses. Once I get the rear end set with the non-adjustable links I'll measure and see if I have a problem and let it be if I can.

I wish you luck. So far nothing has fit correctly. Thank goodness for my dremel tool.

Default Assembly

Wow. I'm suprised, my rolling chassis went together without any type of mods. Have they made changes since 2009.

the only thing i had to drill/clean up were a few holes around the rear shock brackets. they were more oval than round. i threw away the weird radiator support and made my own and use a factory five radiator tipped towards the engine. other than that - the chassis was very simple.

Default square

I find this strange. Did you guys square up the wheels? I dropped plumbobs off all 4 corners. It's the only way you know if your square. I didn't trust the set up something didn't look right.

Default Setup

When you say square up the wheels, do you mean taking measurements left front to right rear, or perpendicular to the ground. My back tires were fine, I did the front as close as possible and took it to be aligned and I was very close. I did not check cross measurements.

Default square

Here's what we did, found center of the front wheels, dropped a line. Next dropped a line from each rear tire. Then measured from each line to the front line. This is the best and easiest way to square up the rear end.
