Default Mr.Bruces hardtop Lemans style

Just got back my hardtop from paint. Was going to paint with flat black. A friend convinced me to match the color. I'm very happy I did. Still working on finale finishing. Lighting doesn't due it justice.

Get it out in the sunlight! Lets see some pictures! LeMans top always adds a neat character to the Cobra.

Looks like the paint turned out nice. What are you going to do with the underside? I painted mine a light color..

Might be awhile on the pictures. Moving to a bigger garage with a house attached ! LOL Will post them asap.

Attached with four screws upside in the window track and nuts on top of the fiberglass. Thought about using tension buckles but I don't think it necessary.

I finished the bottom with Herculiner. It deaden the sound a bit and was very easy to apply. not as shinny as the picture looks.

Looks great! Are you planning to put some clear plastic sheet between the top rubber and the body? Sure will save the paint on the car - unless you NEVER plan to take the hardtop off.

Looks great! Are you planning to put some narrow, clear plastic under the top rubber? Sure will save the paint on the car - unless you NEVER plan to take the hardtop off.

What a great way to increase you top speed by 30 miles an hour, looks really good and authentic.

Original hard tops used these in the windshield slots with a hand nuts over studs on the roof.

They used the soft top latches on the outside corners.
