Default radiator mount

is the radiator mount suppose to be an inch shorter accross then the front bumpers that it mounts to

The support is about an inch narrower than the bumper supports. I spread it apart (it flexes OK) and clamped it with C-clamps before screwing it into the bumper supports. Others have posted other solutions but I had no problem using this method.

I made up two spacers out of steel and drilled them for the same bolt pattern.

I spaced mine out with galvanized washers wrapped in black tape. Make sure all the openings around the radiator are sealed from the engine compartment. The fan will pull the path of least resistance, around the rad rather than through it causing overheating.
