Default Getting very close to ordering Phase I, just a few questions?

I am just about ready to order phase I and get started on my first Cobra build. I was curious as to what parts are missing from the kit. After Phase I and II are purcahsed what additional parts will be needed to finish. Obviously engine, trans, driveshaft, ect... Just curious as to how complete the kit is.

Thank you

there are a lot of parts you still need to get after you get both phases. A lot of stuff depends on how you want to build your car and what you expect it to look like when ur finished. The only part that i would not use in the kit are the rotors. You should upgrade to the 11" granada rotors and dont waste ur time with the others.

I started with just the frame. I went with wilwood brakes,i bent all of my own lines and used a different rack and pinion setup than a&c. Whats great about the build is that you can build it custom to what you want on the car.

If you want to visit me and my Yellow version of an A & C.
Send me a PM.
I'm just North of the RT 8 exit off the Turnpike in Macedonia.
My ride has been on the road since Sept 2001.
Be glad to go over my build and make helpful suggestions if you want.
Jim

I live near Albany, but am in Syracuse often for business. I may take you up on your offer.

Well I pulled the trigger today and ordered Phase I. I'm sure questions will be soon to follow.

Congratulations--I ordered an A&C around this time last year. I spent last winter with the heater going in the garage and made progress with Phase I. I picked up the body and the Phase II components in Buffalo in August. Now I am wiring and hoping to get to a final punch list by the Spring. Good luck with your build and enjoy the process.

Default wiring

I thought the wiring wasn't bad. Only thing I would change was to put male/female wire ends on the lights. After I wired the car complete I thought about removing the lights Oh Crap!! I'm in the process of putting the engine back in the car. Should be done this weekend. I got my body gel coated and looked good, then I got the bright idea to wet sand it. I have a buddy the does frame off restores on old muscle cars, he does very nice work. His cars have won at Good Guys a few times. Any how, we started wet sanding buffing to see if it made a difference, does the word WOW mean anything? I couldn't believe how much deeper the shine was and the orange peel is all but gone. So now we are going to do the whole car.

PS:
It took me less than 200 hours to get it road ready not finished, if you're like me it will never be done.
