Is anyone going to the Grand Spring rod run in pigeon Forge Tenn. in April? Also what about the Ocean City MD cruise in May? Both look like they would be a blast.

In mid may planning on putting the cobra on the auto train on orlando, getting a sleeping berth with the wife, unloading south of washigton DC and running south back home over the blue ridge parkway, smokey mnts national park, deals gap, cherohala skyway and northern GA before hit interstate back to ocala, fl.
Any one ever do the auto train? I will have to put in and remove some spring spacers in the amtrak parking lot to get the 4 inches of required clearence on my oil pan!

Did the Ocean City cruise in 2008. You have to register to be eligible for judging. If you don't have a room yet you are sol. It's about 3500 cars of every conceivable kind. Didn't see too many Cobras but that may have changed!

Took the car to Pigeon Forge last weekend for the The grand Spring rod run. Wow was it packed took 90 minutes to go 1.5 miles. Weather was good could have been warmer, rained the whole way down. Roads were dry by 6pm. Put some miles on the car. A side note: the car didn't like going up the mountain got 3/4 of the way up, started running way rich had to turn around and come down. The trip down was a blast, handled like a dream!!!!

another vac.
I went to Ocean City for their rod run. Wow what a blast, other than rain on Sat. it was great. The people want us there and the cops looked the other way as long as you didn't get stupid. The weather could be a little warmer mid 60's during the day a lot colder at night. The only problem was truck and trailer parking. I thought since I stayed at one of the hotels listed as cruiser friendly they would have trailer parking. Not the case, I had to pay $50 a day for truck/trailer parking and 8 blocks from the hotel.
As a side note, I started having carb trouble in Tenn, long story short I had multiple intake leaks. I tried 3 different intake gaskets to seal up. I'm using Trick Flow .120 thick and have torqued the intake bolts 5 times since once the engine cooled off. This seems to be working , if the intake starts leaking again I'll remove the intake and have it checked, to see if it's warped. Oh yea, I also changed the rear shocks, had a bad wheel hop problem. I put on a set of QA-1 much better handling and wheel hop is gone. Now time to enjoy Summer if it ever warms up and stops raining!!!!!! Dave
