Default A&C headers

Finally mounted my engine and transmission.
Did anyone else have any issues with the bolt holes on the A&C headers not lining up to the threads on the head. The first set I got a few of the bolts wouldn't go in because of the pipe being too close. Sent them back and the new set the bolts all go through but when u try to bolt them up it looks like a couple of the holes are drilled off center

I had stainless allen head bolts for my headers and in the top two center pipes on each side I had to use normal bolts because I couldn't get the allen wrench in with the pipes in the way.

All my bolt holes did line up perfectly though. I have a 428FE.

Default headers???

Yep I had the same problem with the headers so I just opened up the holes a bit. This past Winter I built a new set of headers. The old headers were killing the engine's performance. The tubes were too small, so I built a set of 1 7/8" headers, had them coated, then wrapped. I have trick flow high port heads, trick flow also makes header flanges, so all you do start bending and welding tubes.Wow what a change, well worth the time. Had to increase the jet sizes and advanced the timing a bit. Picked up about 30+ HP. Plus now it has a much deeper rumble.
