Default Tonneau cover

Can any confirm that they’ve fitted a tonneau cover that fits from another brand replica or one designed to fit an original . My thoughts are that our A&c cars are close to original dimensions so a cover designed to fit an original should fit . My car has no roll bar so that’s not a complication. My car also doesn’t have the lift the dot fasteners installed yet , so I’d be able to put them wherever they’d need to be .

Just go to a boat upholstery shop and they should be able to make a tonneau for you. They make boat covers which is basically the same thing, just bigger. I got mine done several years ago for $300 but I'm sure it'll be more now. Everything is. My 2˘

Before you order a tonneau cover, you might want to take a look at these: https://piggybackcovers.com/
Not sure what the intended use is, but putting on a tonneau cover is kind of pain and you risk scratching your paint.

I just want to be able to take the car out and be able to protect the interior from passing showers rather than just using it on days with absolutely no threat of a shower.obviously A&c used something to create their molds but I’ve looked thru the threads and have never seen any reference pointing to what they may have cast their molds from .

Thanks for the reply , but I don’t want to have one made , I just want to know if anyone can confirm one made to fit an original car fits a A&c car .unfortunately the decent upholstery shop near me has a habit of driving around in customers cars for the weekend.I watched them driving my friends 58 corvette like they owned it .
