Think of all that extra gas you can buy now! Seriously, I commend you on quitting. As a respiratory therapist I can give you all the medical reasons why people should quit but it still boils down to the desire to quit first.

No on ever looks back on their life when they are on their deathbed and say" you know I wished I would of smoked more" but there are plenty I have been at their deathbed that said" I should of quit back when the doctor told me to and I would have another 20 years to spend with my family"

Remember, one day at a time

Exclamation I Did Not Quit!!

Jeff, I did not quit! It has been 24+ years since my last smoke. I was a 2.5+ pack a day smoker with a family history of lung cancer. 6 weeks after I had my last smoke, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

Jeff,
Keep up the good work and don't look back.
I'm sure Hotrod will appreciate it also.

Jeff glad to hear that you are better, I agree with all.. I was a daily smoker until I got married. Barb put a stop to that quickly, but what really did it was walking into my closet after quitting for a couple of weeks and smelling all my clothes that just reeked of smoke, now that made me sick! I still like a good Cigar once in a while, but that is about it!

It does get easier, just find something to put in your mouth besides food (insert joke here!), then you will be a non-smoker on a diet... won't even go there..
