Mike,
You can use the same power as the old one.
Sounds like you just need to ad a outlet to the old wires or cut the plug off the new timer and hard wire it to the old wires.
Either way, make sure the power is off at the breaker before you mess with it.

Shutting the power off is for WIMPS!!!
Nothing like a little electrical shock to get your heart rate up.

Throw an extension cord over the fence and use your neighbors power. Just a thought. Look on the inside wall for an outlet and then put a gfci on the outside after tapping into that outlet.

Now that its cooled off, probably no need to do much watering.

You could probably put it off until March anyway.

Mikiec, I've always found that the best way to determine if the wires are hot is to lick my fingers before I touch one. Really, there's not much of an issue if you don't touch two wires at the same time, as long as you're not grounded, and everybody knows that you are not grounded.

Yeah, Mikey, you are correct, there is an expiration on the power, just like in your tires and bean soup, prolly November 15th. Let the sh!t go completely empty and then put the new juice to her!

Mike, I agree your old timer probably ran off of 110 volt and your new timer on 120 volts.
Totally different power sources.

I'll put the outlet in for Mike! All you have to do is move to Tucson and consider it done!

Larry,

Thanks for the offer. Now get your car done. I'm anxious to see and hear it running on the street.
