There will be others.

Mike M. Just keep her away from Fitz and BobB. They are the only grumpy people that might be there.

Ron, you're not surprised, are you.

Karl,

I hate to say it but your orange Chebby Cobra was her favorite. I've been told by her my plain black needs some spice, she even agreed to pay and repaint!
I'll work on her. I need to replace the starter tonight (hot start issues, bought a new starter) and ensure her we can make it back. She loves the prickly pair ice cream at the flats

Mike M...my Cobra was Cadillac Copper Sunburst. Danr has the Chebby orange car. I'm also a LOT taller than Danr, but he does have more hair on top of his head.

Karl,
She knows your car and your hippy grey pony look () , I may have described it incorrect.

Ever since see saw it I've been asked to make mine look more "fun", thanks!

Mike, Tell our wife that black Cobras are fun and they look very sinister.

RatboyRookie, a Zcar is a 350ZX Nissan.

Com'on. Show some juevos.. If you can't make this one, how the heck do you expect to make the next one? I'll be at the New Years Day run up Yarnell.... will you?

Danr,
Oh 350z, I've always liked that car & didn't know you had one of them.
As for new years weekend, I will be out of town so no worries there.

I still need to get new brakes in my AC MKIV (finding brake parts is difficult), so, I'll have to take my other Cobra. You know, the one that looks like a 1989 IROC Camaro. Hey, at least it's red...............

I need brake pads for sure. My rear left caliper squeeks alot, and to make it quiet, I have to play with my Emergency brake lever.

I may just end up installing Wilwoods all around, IF, I can find some 4 pots that will work.

Any suggestions?

Well, here is the deal. Wifey and I ate so much food tonight that we could not get home before the temperture dropped below 50; so we were freezing to death. She was so cold driving from far north Scottsdale at 9PM we had to stop and buy some cloths at a filling station; one of the few open. When she got out she burned her right leg off. While she was holding her left calf I ran over her right foot. I will be coming tomorrow alone!

Starter ate my ring gear. Had to pull the tranny and off with the flywheel. They gave me a new starter and flywheel but I still need to do the work.
Someday I'll be able to join.
Have fun.

Dennis,

Make sure you get the starter gear and the flywheel set up right. I have been through this a few times. Check everything before you put the tranny back in.

Good luck, missed you today.

I hope I checked it enough. Barley tightened the flywheel, just enough to set it, replace the bell housing, just tight enough and not all the bolts then turned it over, sounded sweet. Removed the bellhousing, again, torqued down the fly wheel, installed the clutch and pressure plate, reinstalled the bellhousing, and retightened most bolts and tried the starter again, seemed to work fine.
This is the 3rd starter, the first one froze up, the one that ate the ring gear had a defective bearing in the nose. It told the starter it was done, so the gear went back and forth like a jack hammer. Oh well. Better times comin.

Crap happens. At least you did not go plowing the fields like Brian.

Better to have the problems at home than on the road. We were looking forward to seeing 2 ERA 289 cars today. Oh, well there will be others.

Mike
