A new geyser in Peoria
I had forgotten what a Geyser looked like, until I had one in the garage.
Sorry no pics.

What blew?
I had a fire in my garage yesterday after I had the Cobra running for about 20 minutes and my fender cover slid off the fender and on the side pipe.
I kept smelling something burning but I figured it was my new Teflon rear main seal smelling for some crazy reason.

Let's just say you should not take off the rad cap until pressure does down. It looked like old faithful.
I have not done that in over 30 + years

Mikie, if it happens every 30 years, I would venture to say you probably won't do that again!
It's hell getting old, ain't it!!!

Mike,
Glad that you weren't burned by the hot water. But you aren't the only one who has done that stupid thing. That is why I put a catch tank on mine and a release type cap so I can slowly release the pressure and water into the tank if I need to take the cap off when it is hot.

Years ago i worked in a radiator shop and i had a customer come in whose car was overheating and before i could say anything...........
there was a loud rushing sound and a huge plume of anti-freeze when HE removed
the radiator cap.............
2nd @ 3rd degree burns on his arm, shoulder and face.......
the thermastat had stuck shut and all that hot anti-freeze had to go somewhere
3 days in the hospital and a couple of skin grafts later......he still bears the scars.
PLEASE be careful when you mess with HOT ANTI-FREEZE....

It really was not hot yet. About 160 degrees. I just stood back in amazement. After the event was over I had to clean my car and Ginny's Hedghog.
Geezer or geyser boy works.
