Thanks Posi (aka George) for setting this up.
Going home was a diff story. About 10 miles down the road the car just quit. A little hairy trying to get from the left lane to the exit.
Thanks Mike B and Karl for rescuing me.
Dave,
What happened to your car?

My coil just died not long ago, you may want to start with that.

Don't think it's the coil. It did start one more time when we put it on the trailer. Didn't start when we got it back to my place. Starter makes the sound like a dead batt whe I tried to start it.

Dave, Did Karl's mystery bug jump from his car to yours? That sucks.. Good luck figuring it out.

IS IT....COULD IT BE....THE KARL CURSE IS CONTAGIOUS?

Hey, Hey, Hey. Real sure the gremlin has been discovered. The positive battery cable running from the trunk to the starter had been spliced and the union was only holding on by a few strands. New 0 gauge cable is now run that will cure the issue, I pray. Dave invested in a battery charger, cooked his battery and is bringing the car over today. We'll check his alternator output and if necessary, pull it and take it to our locak, friendly Checker store to be analyzed on their bench tester. Dave was concerned that his voltmeter was showing only 11 volts Saturday, when he got to the show. Hmmm.

Karl will use any excuse to keep from getting the Copper Queen back on the road.

Well all seems to be fine with the car. Sat Karl checked the plugs to the alternator and found one that might have been loose.
Took it over to his house today and everything checked out fine. Will take it tomorrow or next Mon. to Checkers and have them test the system to make sure.
