Yeah what he said. Except for the traffic out of AJ. Can we do it a couple of weeks later next year?
Great seeing all of you again.
BTW screw you John found our way this time.
Mikie what a wimp.
Anyone get a count one how many cars showed up?

Dave, The Nortenos (us) had 8 cars. The Del Suds (them) had 9 cars.

I counted 9 of us that left this morning from the Chevron. Did we lose someone along the way? (or did you forget to count yourself Dan?)

QUESTION!!!
Did anyone find a prescription pair of sun glasses in the restaurant parking lot as we were all leaving this afternoon?
My navigator, Chuck, placed his very expensive pair of glasses on my back fender, and after buckling himself in, forgot to grab them.
After a 12 mile departure from the restaurant he realized the glasses were missing. We doubled back, searched the parking lot and asked the owner if anyone turned in a pair, without luck.
We were hoping someone noticed a pair of dark glasses on the light colored gravel and surmised that they may belong to one of the Cobra guys.
Chuck has a cataract in one eye and can't see worth a crap out of the other, tell you what, he ain't worth a sh!t as a navigator anymore!
If he can't find them, I'm going to use a seeing-eye dog as my new navigator.
Ralph

It sounds like Bud Keil found the glasses. His email is budkeil@gmail.com
It never hurts to get a dog though!

Great News! I just got off the phone with Chuck and he was elated.
As we were speaking he got his Braille keyboard out and was typing a message to Bud.
Thanks, Dave, that will get Chuck out of the doghouse with his wife.

Nice Run! Any Pictures
Now that was a cool drive. That little side bar coming back from the golf course was very nice as well. Wifely liked it too. We should do that again. Maybe move up a bit if not raining for few months. Another month may be too long. My suggestion is drive down 10 and cut across and come back the way we started out to avoid all that traffic.
Couldn't help myself watching Karl just go for the ride. Going to have to do that sometime. Never have just sat in one of these cars and enjoyed myself just riding. Wifey won't drive the car either so I will have to invite someone sometime that is looking for a ride.

Hey Fitz, we could miss all that nasty traffic by just moving the ride a couple weeks later. Think the festival ends the last weekend in March. It was nice riding along and enjoying the scenery. Hellll of a lot better than staying home, doing yard work. Let me know if sometime you want to just look around. I could probably keep it mostly between the lines....

Thanks for the kind words guys. Last year we did this about the same time, I believe the difference was that we met in Winkleman at 9:30 am instead of 11:30 am. We had breakfast then and lunch this year. Last year you guys may have not noticed any traffic at the Festival because it probably didn't open at 8:30 am or 9:00 am and you would have been well past that area by then. All that being said, THANKS for driving down and inspiring us to keep working on and driving our cars.

The traffic tie-up was all Mikie's fault! The Fair doesn't open till 10 am and we could have left the Chevron station by 9am. But the kind-hearted members that we are, we listened to our leader who doesn't want to get up too early on the weekends. AND then to top it off, he's a No-Show besides!
But we still love our skinny leader.
