My Birthday Present

My loving wife was not sure what to get me for my birthday this year so I looked around a bit and found this, http://www.route662010.com/ and thought why not. Good excuse to go driving. It is a rally from both ends of Route 66 meeting in Amarillo in May 19-22. This maybe really cool or at worst a nice drive.

Depending on which way you're coming from you will be driving thru my piece of the world. If you are coming through Tulsa take the Creek Turnpike or at least I-244 thru the city because I-44 is undergoing some major widening and new bridges. Hwy 51 is not much better either. Lots of traffic delays from the Hard Rock Casino (193rd East) all the way West to Sapulpa.

Lyle and I have decided when we retire we will start in Chicago and run the whole route to California.

Paul, Be sure to smile pretty for the camera. THey did a 2 hour show on this Mustang Run on Rt. 66 last year. It was a pretty good show inspite of the cars that broke.
