Default It was good to be back in the drivers seat!

After 2 1/2 long months of not being able to drive my cobra after my retina surgery, it was good to finally get back into the driver's seat this morning, even if it was almost 100 degrees already. On a to be stay unamed desert road, for the first time I opened up it more than a little and can honestly say I had my right foot mashed to the floor for 5.2 seconds. 5 seconds for a fantastic ride and the .2 was the OH Q!@*#%!*&#%)!#%!!! this thing is going to take off and I am going to die feeling before common sense got the better of me to back off. I had amost forgotten what a rush this car is. Anyway, thanks for letting me rant.

Wow, 5 seconds is a long time! You could be well into triple digits! Glad your back in the saddle. 209

It was the fastest I have had my car up to up until now. I can honestly sday it was my threshold that was reached before the cars but I wont say the speed I started at before I held it wide open or the speed I attained!

Welcome back Ron. Top speed is not one of our cobra's favorite subjects. Gets kind of "light" over 125mph doesn't it? I've had mine up over 140mph and I chicken out since I'm not used to that kind of speed. Visions of flashing red/blue lights appear in my head. Had mine at 120+mph for 40 minutes straight once. Couldn't get my grip off the wheel at the end.

sorta like DWRAT when he accelerates and then decelerates when making a corner, he reaches his threshold and then dumps. Anal retention issues I think. tin-man
