Default BT Snake's FI system

Hershal -- in all the excitement last week, I forget to ask you more about the FI system. I know you got the system from RF and that it will run a Wolf electronics system, but who makes the actual FI injector/intake part? Do you know what engine(s) they make it for? And if you don't mind, about how much could someone buy the entire system for (not along with the purchase of a GT40, but as a stand alone unit)?

Your friend too,

Ben

Hi Ben,
I can't give you a generic price for this unit as all of these are different in spec. such as the injector size and make. You can have Boesch or another type that is much cheaper. also the intire throttle linkage is designed for this setup. The major components come from DC&O in Australia. The package that I got included all the plumbing and two racing fuel pumps with filters and wiring intergrated into my main harness. It also has all the trumpet stacks and all the sensors and throttle cable. For this I paid
$4.5K. To me this is a bargain because of all the components are there and it's ready to go.
From what I understand, it is available for the 351w as well. I don't know about other applications.

Hersh

Aren't you running a 351W. Sounds like not. If no, I assume it'll be a 302? Which block?

The price doesn't sound bad. The other system I keep ogling is the Imagine Injection system, but when I tallied up all that with a computer system it came to around $6K as I recall.

Ben,

Hersh is running a 302 in his GT40. I believe the 351 is a real tight squeeze in the RF.

Mike

P.S. are you making the breakfast run Sunday??

Ah -- I guess you'd have to go to a later GT40 (Mark IV?) for the monster motors, eh?

No breakfast run for me. You guys have a great time and get home before it gets too hot.

Outside chance I'll make it to the Scottsdale Pavillions tomorrow. If I go I'll give you the report.

Ben
