DEc 4th event

I thought it was going to be this weekend darn it . I will be in LV at the Spring Mtn race track running the car on the 3.5 mile track

Have fun.

Track time or hanging with the gang. You can always go to the track. This happens once a year.

My party place is ready to be filled with noise and my parking lot needs to be rubberized again.

We will have reminders as we get closer. One thing: When doing your obligatory burnout start close to the street and only use First Gear. No shifting. Keep it short, straight and safe.

Dave, I was watching from the tree bank that year(2008) and cringed every time one of those guys would get slightly sideways. This is Main St. in London, Ohio and there were hundreds of people lined up on both sides, must be getting more safety conscious the older I get.
And me sliding off the road with major Cobra damage a year prior to the above event, definitely put a little more fear in my head.

Any more details would be appreciated..... How long does this usually last? 10a.m.-? doesn't really help. Are we talking 2 or 3 hours or well into the evening? If it is a strictly morning gathering, is there anything else going on later in the day? Would be nice to make an overnight trip out of it. As far as the Yankee swap......help me out here......I am sure it is not what it sounds like.....%/ Thanks, Mark

Yankee swap aka White Elephant. Bring something cool or funny or both, (wrapped) and we pick 'em and pass 'em around. Merriment usually ensues.

Until Mikie passes out, usually around 1am. I have no idea what goes on after that and I don't wanna! %/

that silver car that was third or fourth looked very familiar the way it got sideways and the driver looked paniced..

Mark, Tucson John has been there many times. He can explain everything. If it was me I would make it an overnight but you don't have to. The gathering ends in the afternoon. After Marine rides and Yankee swap.
For the swap bring a wrapped gift, about $15, preferrably male or cobra intended (that't me talking). I buy mine on Black Friday so you get a smokin deal. Each entry gets a number. Once Ginny draws a number we keep in order. When your number is drawn you have a choice of a wrapped (disguised) gift to open or pick one someone else has already chosen or opened. Maximum hand change is 3 then out of play.
Fun comments by all.

I plan on making it special, I hope to bring a car that I have actually finished and I haven't broke it yet.

No, its not a Cobra, but likely a Ford product. :o

Knowing the club rules no one will miss me if I am not there but I wont be able to make it this year. #1 my car will still be in the shop and # 2 my family is spending the day through our church working at the salvation army packing boxes of donations for familes. Hope to be back on the road after xmas after the paint dries(front end getting repainted, then clear bra done)

Yeah we won't make it this year either. Had a cruise planned for the next day but the damn boat caught on fire. NO cruise. Changed to going to Hawaii. Got to leave early on Sat so won't make the party. Either Karl or Dan will bring our Toy's for Tots gift.
You all have a great time.

mikiec 11-24-2010 05:41 AM

Judy will be missed.
