Tucson-Free lunch, 11-20-10
The Tucson Cobra guys have been invited to a free steak lunch at the Mobile Aire Hangers at Ryan Field. I promised them at least 7 or more Cobras would show up. We'll meet at Tiny's Saloon, Ajo and Kinney Rds. at 10:45 am. The airport is a secure facility so we'll go in as a group at 11:00am.

John, Just in case some of your northern cousins want to mooch a freebee.. exactly what is the best way to get to Ajo and Kinney Roads from I-10? Maybe you'll have 25 or so Cobras.. You know how this gang is when it comes to free food!

Dan, it's pretty easy to get to, but anyone who has not taken the drive may want to consider taking the "scenic" route around the West side of Tucson through the Saguaro National Monument. I-10 to Ina road, West to Wade Rd. which turns into Picture Rocks Rd. (nice winding road through the Monument), South on Sandario Rd. to Mile Wide Rd. which turns into Kinney (winding road through the Monument again), ending at the light at Ajo. Either that or take I-19 to Ajo straight shot....

Sorry John, Mark and I probably won't make it. Good Guys is that weekend in Scottsdale. I am looking for a Street Rod to buy and that show always has a few to say the least. If I can make a purchase on Friday, then Mark and I will both bring our cars.

Hey Danr55, The way that Mark has depicted is a nice road, however, it is a bit longer time wise. Your best way would be I-10 south to I-19, take the AJO exit west bound for about eight miles. Just google "Tiny's Saloon" and there is a map provided. Mark, no, only five guys have showed any interest. I just sent out another reminder to the Tucson guys this afternoon. Mike, there is always room for another Cobra, come on down. Tom, If you do purchase a hot rod then bring that to Ryan Field.

Thanks to all who attended. There were seven Cobras, a Cunningham, and a GT350. The steaks were outstanding, there was plenty of good stuff to drink, and the common interests between the Cobra owners and the pilots was interesting. A blue grass band played and was well received by everyone.

Ralph, it's the 10th Annual Arizona Cobra Anniversary / Christmas Party. I'll be up there about 10:15 am with a few of the Tucson Cobras.
