Skully, you need to get your car titled as as 65 or 66 and then the registration will be like $18, plus whatever nasty little fees they tack on. There's certainly no need to be paying what you've been. Since they closed the DMV office on Main, East of Power, I think the only one out here is off Greenfield, south of the 60. (somewhere around there) Look them up on line. Also go to the DMV site for details about getting the different plates.

West of Greenfield just north of Baseline. Adjacent to Sportsman's Warehouse.

John, why the east valley? You live in Buckeye (east LA). There is a DMV (MVD) office in surprise on Bell Rd.

Bob , I went there to get my plates, and would not let me title the cobra as a 1965, but as a 2006 car. Several of the guys said to take the title to the east valley to try to change it, thats what they had done. Any other ideas, I just hate to pay 365.00 for a car that can only be driven part time.

Skully, I thought your car was already titled? I don't think you can change it once it's done.

It is, I would like to title it as a 1965, but they titled as a 2006. A lot of difference in renewing the plates, 2006 is 365.00 1965 is about 48.00. I dont know if I can get it retitled but I am going to try. Thanks again for all of the info.
