was there a contest? John, AKA, tin-man

Karl Bebout 01-25-2011 12:21 PM

Tinner, no contest. When Danr's car got wrecked he did the smart thing and just bought another car (very nice car, but has certainly had more than its share of "down time") I, on the other hand, did the less than smart thing, and bought my wrecked car back from the insurance company and proceded to find out just how much of a mistake I made. That being said, with the help of Dave, Mike, and Hector, we are making progress and doing some real nice things in the build, that may not be very evident, but we'll know what we're gone through. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this is not like putting together a pre-engineered kit car, where the pieces are made for you and ther are step by step instructions on how to put it all together and make it work. This is much more FUN, but I don't think I'd ever do it again.

Hang in there Karlos. Something to be said about doing it yourself, rather than just writing the check!

Besides, I need yours back on the road to have some competition in this town...

Also, I stole your avatar!!!

RedSnake351 01-27-2011 07:59 PM

Tinny, the "attack" has nothing to do with a physical fight but something to do with likely clogged arteries:CRY:!

dave from mesa 01-28-2011 08:40 PM

Ya know with my short memory I forgot about Dans little bout with his heart. You won that one. You lose cookies. Can't be a contributor to your bad ticker.
Everyone else wins. :3DSMILE:

tin-man 01-29-2011 02:37 AM

thanks for the clarification, yep, no cookies for Dan.

Dan, be well and live long. John, AKA,tin-man

Karl Bebout 01-29-2011 12:15 PM

I'm betting that Danr's heart problems were caused either by the stress of keeping track of just which girl friend he was supposed to take out the next weekend, OR, the stress of wondering just what is going to break on his car next. Maybe both.
