Mikiec, that's a sure fire way to not get any more of Judy's excellent cookies. Watch it!

I just moved here (after selling my Backdraft) and really miss riding in a Cobra. Do any of you go solo and want/need a passenger? I can't make it this weekend, but I am just curious if anyone would mind giving me a Cobra "fix".

When you do lunch on the many trips you take I am guessing there is generally booze available, so how does that work when you drive the beasts isn't there a risk in driving being inebriated n'all, strike that, slightly tipsy, or do you wait around till its ok to drive?

Speed doesn’t kill, it's the sudden stop that will get you every time... I have never known the Cobra group to drive drunk.. tipsy... but they do drive like Bob and that resembles the latter...

Brian's talkin about Bob Fitz not me. I'm innocent. Yup, pure as the snow. That's me.
I'm bringing a rider this trip. Newbee. Never been in a cobra. I told him to bring a change of underwear.

Bob usually brings a sheep! Sometimes Karl; depends on the mood. Never drink and drive. Once in awhile I have a vacant seat for someone to ride.

Tin-Man,
The last time I had 2 drinks and got in the Cobra, I spun the rear end around on takeoff. Ended up facing the way I was coming from. Freaked me out.

These cars will eat you alive if you don't always maintain the proper respect for them and thier power. That includes having all of your wits about you when you get behind the wheel. Even then, sometimes, they are dangerous. Most of us have seen at least one example of lack of attention when driving a Cobra. While it wasn't deadly, it was expensive.

So Ralph, you're saying you'd rather play with your smoke pole than drive your cobra?

No, haven't shot Muzzle loaders in over 20 years and didn't bring any down here. I only posted the event, which started yesterday, in case there were any members interested in going any other day than Saturday.
I will be at the meeting point Saturday morning.

Default Thanks for the feedback...........

I am glad to hear that my original observations of the Arizona Cobra members was correct being all "fine upstandin gents" who know when to drink and when to drive.

Cheers, John, AKA, tin-man
