Just bringing the picnic up to the top here. Reminder: don't speed on Bartlett Lake Rd. There are an abundance of State Troopers along here just waiting for you. One year we had 3 different cobras ticketed.

You have restored my faith in the membership, at least there is one fine upstandin gent in the AZ Cobra group. I'm guessing you also are a God fearin' gun toting bloke that has brass balz, walks with a swagger, does shots, cusses, has a big swingin' stick and doesn't take **** from anyone, right?

Well, maybe your wifey beats the crap outa ya from time to time, but that's private stuff.

According to my friends in Langley most of the black-ops guys, those who were engaged in wet missions, flew deep cover and served their country with distinction have chosen Arizona as their residence during retirement. Ralphie can attest to this fact, while he won't admit it, while he was in Nam, black ops were part of the mission, so don't let that teddy bear exterior look fool ya. Ralphie, correct, wa, you're records indicate you're were one mean operative and were involved with the Advanced Aerial Fire Support System (AAFSS). AH-1G Cobras, purposely designed for ground-attack missions and deep cover excursions.

And so in your retirement you transitioned to the ground based beast called Cobra and got it all tricked out.

I'm guessing that most of the AZ Cobra membership can attest to what I have been told by my friends in Langley as being true since your weapons of choice and powerful rides are indicative of the need for speed and overall lethal stopping power to have at your disposal for use in any conflict resolution. And while the missions [read weekend excursions] continue, the absolute need to vent pent up aggression get's satiated during the visits to Ben Avery's place. Mikie, am I correct?

Just so you know, tin-man's weapon of choice is a special purpose Berretta semi automatic chambered for the Aguila 29 grain .22 (5.6mm) hollow point with a velocity of 1045 ft/ sec, that carries 70# of stopping power, absolutely lethal for double taps at close range. Its also the weapon of choice for Mossad operatives. oops.

Sorry guys digressing here, enjoy your picnic, toss back a few brews for me and remember the glory days. Hurahhhh.

Cheers, John, AKA, tin-man, Zhuhai, P.R.C.

I think most of us have real pistols, mostly .45 ACP and larger.

Congratulations I would have expected no less. That said my collection includes, in addition to my weapon of choice, SP Beretta 22 semi automatic [being easer to conceal and a must for close up work where double tapping is required], a Ruger bullnose .22 target pistol, Lugar 1918 9mm, Star 9mm, Winchester 12 ga. trap, and a modified sawn off double barrel shotgun for ugly encounters during conflict resolution. Plus the latest Chicom assault weapon, a SOTA laser immobilizer, it will burn retinas and destabilize the opposition big time. It has range of 6 miles. Awesome.

For immoblization, I prefer the Model 256 Gamma Ray generator. It will go through solid concrete depending upon the wave length setting.

Car Nut, Isn't that all pirated software? Aren't you afraid that will blow up in your face or your tongue will get stuck to the flagpole or you'll shoot your eye out or something?

I prefer a Varon-T Disruptor or a Phased Polaron Cannon.

We're talkin bout' personal non lethal defense weapons here. "The Chicom assault weapon, a SOTA laser immobilizer, will burn retinas and destabilize the opposition big time. It has range of 6 miles. Awesome."

I'll even let you play with it when we finallly meet up. Assuming I can get it thru customs upon entry.

Well, maybe not DWRAT, since he is susceptable to having DWRAT moments and may inadvertantly blind Danr.

Now can we get back to the picnic?

I do believe I was correct when I said all you guys were ex black-ops people and wet operatives in retirement. Fast cars, awesome firepower, weekend retreats hot ladies, [hats off to Danr DWRAT and the rest of you studs] its all there. I won't tell anyone, just lemme join in. I am thinking my military background, flying Blackhawk assault gunships into Cambodia and elsewhere qualifys me. The crack about the SP .22 Beretta nothwithstanding. Waddya say Guys?

Default Another Picnic in the books

We had 15 cobras and several normal cars show up for a beautiful day at Bartlett Lake. Great weather, great people. Thanks Scotty for the Bratwurst. No tickets, no car trouble, no accidents. In all a fine picnic.

Lysle Reinsch said he finally got his new Boss 302 and he had his "RED" key but had to wait for breakin period. His new Boss has an easy on the engine new breakin program for the first 100 miles. Good idea for us lead foots. Can't wait to see it.
Maybe at the Route 66 Fun Run

"no car trouble"??
Guess Mike B's breakdown on the 101/202 doesn't count?

Had a great time as usual. Got to see new people and some we haven't seen for a long time. Weather was great. Hope no one got sunburned on the way home.
