Saturday April 16
Should be warm and sunny. Is anyone else up for a little run as kind of a warm up or replace for (if you are unlucky enough to not be going) for Kingman and the Rt. 66 run? I was thinking the route through Superior, Winkleman, San Manuel (a lunch stop) and home. Any thoughts?

Dan,
Wouldn't you know, I have got to go to San Diego this weekend. I would love to eventually "ride along' with you guys on a Saturday run. I truly look forward to doing this soon before it gets really hot here. Some people have told us it gets really hot in Arizona. Is that true? We have been here since early December and it has only been hot one day. Very cold and wet others. I think this "hot thing" is a myth to keep us old Californians away.

Skip. If I recall, it was me that told you it gets really hot here. I ask you, would I lie......about that........... Would I lie about that?

Dan,
You are correct. I know you wouldn't lie to me! Ha!
But, I am fully aware that it does get bloody hot here. I have been visiting the Valley of the Sun for decades. I guess I am hoping our first summer here won't be too brutal. Everyone tells us we won't like it here until our second year. I hope it is not true!
I sold my all black Backdraft before we moved here thinking that anything black would just be way too hot. Now, I am sorry I sold it as I miss the darn thing alot. So, I may be in the market for another car soon. And, I hope to drive it in the summer heat. Early morning only, I guess!
I can't wait to meet you guys, especially after reading all the banter back and forth!

The mistake most newcomers make here is not staying hydrated and having enough sense to stay in the shade whenever it presents itself. Drink lots of water and avoid the afternoon sun, a hat is nice too.

Danr55, If you can, come on down here for Paul's service. We'll find something to do afterwards.

Well it looks like it's a moot point. Work beckons for Saturday morning anyway.. Not sure about the rest of the weekend.

Leave it to Danr...get people stirred up about doing something and then slink out of it.
WORK? A man your age should be taking life easy and not having to go to the salt mines.
I'M MUCH younger and I'm lovin' the retired life.

I won't risk an explative for deletion after that Karl... I should have planned better when I was younger.
