On a used car, the other thing to do if there is something that you want repaired and the dealer says they will do it. Make them repair it BEFORE you take possession of it. You can have it set up with the dealer to do that. If they won’t, walk away.
My youngest son bought a used Corvette from a new / used car dealer on a Saturday. It did not idle quite right and on the "DUE BILL" thay worded it as "Look into idleing issue". He took it back the next Monday. They said that there was nothing they could do about it. He said, The salesmant told me they would fix it. But what hs signed was that they would "look into it".
He learned on that one.
