Auto Pro Collision, in Chandler, painted my car several years ago and I'll have them paint my new body, this summer. Excellent prep, quality, and price. Nice guys too.

More important than asking where is asking how much does he want to spend? Also how much does he want to paint? Just the outside? The whole car including the floors and the bottom?
If he has lots of cash then CanAm Constructors in the Airpark is the best and will do the whole thing - inside , outside , engine compartment and bottom. If he doesn't have the money then there are lots of places that can paint cars. CanAm will need about $20K plus bodywork. Maaco will do it pretty well for $1,000- . If he does his own prep then he should go to Maaco or Earl Schieb - they paint cars all day long and are quite good at it. They are not great at prep as it is to a price point. In 66 , Ford's paint jobs were about half as good as Maaco...

Everybody has their favorates but for the money I still like Levy. Done two for me and turned out well. I guess it gets down to are you going to be around bugging the guys about the details. When Gordon was building my cars, I was a pain in the ass being around and checking in on them; watching them sand and do the prep work. Give Gordon a A.
If he didn't live in East LA I would do more. See some of you this weekend at the Route 66 Run.

Skully,
Gordon did a good job on mine. And he was reasonably priced. Be careful about a metalic paint though. It's tricky to get it perfect in the tight curves. Scott.
