Dan,
I'm trying to work things out with elwifo so I can go. She's going to Montana, and eldogo will be at home. Eldogo has a higher priority at my place than I do.
Where did I go wrong ?

Scotty, I love when you speek Spanish. Take eldogo to elpetresort: Applewood Pet Resort | Paradise Valley Arizona | Dog Grooming | Dog Kennel and drive elcobra on trip.

Kapish? (That's not Spanish)

Danr, Danr, Danr...a man your age should know that the best food in Superior is at Casa Denogean. Just east of the Circle K, south side of the street. I'd goddddamguarantee that their food is much better. I've even driven up there to get Christmas tamales. well worth the drive! Their green chile is outstanding and when Vanessa is working...well, that's an added bonus.

Keeping the subject on top:
I am still excited to go on this trip. The Coronado Trail Run has been on my "Bucket List" for many years but I always worked every other weekend. Well, now is the time. Weather looks like it is cooperating too.
Staying at Dan's home Friday night so early, hungover rise on Sat. am for breakfast in Superior at 7am.
Woo Hoo. Just put on new ceramic brake pads this week so I can stop on a dime!
Looks like I am traveling alone again. I hope my room is next to Scotty's.
I'm becoming an "East Sider" for a night.

I requested a BRO proof room, and they suggested a motel down the street.

I'm surprised they didn't recommend you go to Eager or Alpine.

The run was wonderful. THere were three cobras from PHoenix and one cobra, a Porsche and a toyota pick up from the Tucson crowd. We made it up the south end and into Springerville before anything broke. All of a sudden, my shifter went limp and came unhinged. It was a simple matter of putting the bolts back in place after we got stopped but that four or five miles in between was a real pain. Scotty's door latch went south but we found a big enough hammer to fix that also. All in all, a great trip. Looking forward to doing it again next year.. perhaps with more people. Mikie has some photos to post when he gets a chance.

Scotty, don't need no stinkin' door latch. Not when there's duct tape. Danr, "Your shifter went limp"?. Maybe BobB can get you some of those blue pills advertized on TV.

A little old lady at Hennigan's Meadow saw me trying to get my door open, fussing with the door latch, and she said "you know, you can climb over the door to get into the car". I told her I hadn't thought of that, thank you very much. Then she said she liked the red Karman Ghia on the end, and that the blue one with the white stripes was the most popular Karman Ghia color ever made.
