Coronado Trail Run
Well, we've been talking about it for a couple of years now. I know that Tucson John has been interested in doing it for a while. How about September 17 and 18? We meet in Superior at 7:00 AM for those who want breakfast at Los Hermanos and 8:00 for those who don't. We leave and drive through Globe to Safford and then Morenci and stop at Hannigan Meadow Lodge for lunch. (We were up there this weekend and they are open and doing well except the traffic is kind of slim). After lunch we press on to Alpine, Nutrioso and then stop at Eager for the evening. Sunday we have breakfast at Booga Red's and then off to Showlow via 260. If the Tucson gang wish to split off and come back through Salt River Canyon, they can do that or continue on to Heber/Overgaard, Payson and back to the valley. Who's up for it?

Sounds like an adventure. Count me in. I may just stay in Superior though on Friday night. Saturday would be a long day otherwise. Save about 90 miles. Still a 260 mile day. Here is the trip from my home: MapQuest Maps - Driving Directions - Map

I know Danr has plenty of ear protection, otherwise I'll bet the offer wouldn't have been made.

Don't need ear protection. I'll make up a pallet for him out by the pool. With the pump running, I'll never notice Bob's snoring.

Sounds like a good run. I'll plan on it. How much are the rooms? I'll be needing a room to myself this trip, and ALL future trips !! Scotch and stogies are on me.

I don't know for sure Scotty. After I have an idea of how many there will be, I'll see what I can do for room prices. There are a couple of places in Eager and a couple on Springerville.
Scotty, a quick check indicates around $50/nite double..

Scotty, don't worry, I'll bring ear plugs so I can't hear you complain.

Bob,
I understand there is a mouth piece specifically made for your condition. It has a built in grenade that is noise activated. For my condition, light sleeper, I just need a half bottle of 12 year Macallan !!

I'd go but I'll be out of town that week. If the dates change I'll go.

Booga Red's in Springerville is rated 4 1/2 stars, and serves Mexicana. I should've known since Dan selected it. Great reviews, but no explanation about Booga. Can I get one of those Bond girls now
