Mike,
Do you remember this car from Kit cars on the Colorado?

I sure liked it but I remember it was put on the trailer because it broke and the owner sure talked bad about it.

Daytona Coupe Replica for sale or trade

Ron, not so fast, I'll see yours and will raise the stakes: my cobra plus a tank of gas, a bag of adult diapers on account of the happenings DWRAT has with his bowel movement when driving fast cars, PLUS, I'll even take his wife off his hands as part of the deal as well. Now beat that.

The only beating would be my wife on me if I brought home another wife. I havent met DWRAT's wife so I cant comment on that possibility. How about we agree to see him both of them for $250K and throw in a lifetime supply of adult diapers and a AAA memebership to tow the cobra's when our 511's decide to act up?

You guys are to funny,
Hey Tinny, I bet you would sell your Cobra for almost any price after the first 78 miles.
Don't worry I was there with my Cobra and Carnut almost ended up with it but his boss said NO.

Anyways, thanks Mike but I need access to someone Else's bank account before I can buy anything these days.

DWRAT, you got that right, boy was I pissed and ready for bear, but common sense prevailed and I pushed it back on the makers.

Hold on Dan, it is presumptuous of you to infer that I am shooting at him, contraire, I was offering him a fair trade.

So tell me how'd you know I don't know DWRAT, we have had extensive off line communications and have exchanged photographs of our families, DWRAT has got one awesome wife and I can really understand him being P***Y whipped n'all big time, hell yes, big time and I don't blame him for one bit for letting his wife walk all over him and making him sell his Cobra so she can drive a Beemer..

What I do find difficult based on club stories told about him is, a) his inability to control his bowel movement when travelling at high rates of speeds and then decelerating and b) when he emits girly like screams during burnouts. These actions somehow do not support my image of the raw unadulterated masculinity and pure macho driven thrill seeking adrenalin pumped fine upstandin gents who make up the Arizona Cobra's. Did I get that right?

I heard some wild stories about him when I met the folks at the Safeway parking lot meet on Saturday June 18th. I conclude they are not too exaggerated but enjoyed the drama nonetheless. Sorta adds to the legend of ratboy

Tinny,
I feel we know each other good enough that I would let you store your Cobra and keys for the cobra at my house any time, once it is running that is.

Hello, this is the tin-man, the real tin-man ordinarily known as John,

IT'S STILL A ROCK.

The tranny gaffe has been fixed, but the grabbing effect, being derivative of the high idle, when transitioning from park to reverse to neutral to drive on the auto tranny has yet to be resolved. The issue is like this: I am the only one with this set up on a Cobra, so it seems, and this grabbing effect was never experienced before, during the original Roush-Bowler engine tranny promulgation, so this has been a wake-up for these folks since they argree its not correct and so they are working the issue. Once resolved, we can roll.

So does that mean you would take good care of it, start it up a couple of times a week and just drive it round the block and not go over 30 MPH? Keep it polished and well treat it like it was your own?

Well, being the case I will consider, but can I trust you, do I have your word you would treat it tender, just like your wifey?

Arizona Cobra guys, this has got to be one of the best openings for shots, so bring it on. tin-man

English translation: No one has a clue what's going on. We trust that they will define the issue and implement proper and effective corrective action or it's going to cost me a fortune to get this fixed.

Dan, yep, that's what I had in mind, but I chose my words so everyone could follow on the grabbing effect. I guess it goes with the territory, I deal with a lot of people who's minds work differently and require a step by step verbal dissertation so they can visualise what is being discussed. There is no such thing as a quantum leap in understanding based on a single premise, you have to spell it out. Remember in China their "alphabet" has between 6-7,000 characters and is based on pictograms. These characters are based on a phonetic instead of a semantic system, that is, their primary function is to represent not sound but meaning. To read a typical newspaper, ya gotta learn about 3,000 characters. A typical translation of a simple sentence can take three times as long to transliterate from English into Mandarin. Deep huh? tin-man

Dang John, I thought it'd been fixed. Heck I wouldn't have yanked your chain in that other thread If I'd known it still wasn't right.

Deep ain't the half of it. When you get to understand Mandarin, some one will throw in a different dialect just to watch you struggle and laugh at you. I understand exactly what you're saying.
