Thanks guys! I truly appreciate the information. I am still just feeling my way around here. Maybe a few rides in a Cobra will help me learn the ropes!

Skippy, You can bust in here anytime.
Went out with my son and grand kids today. Took the AR and the Henry. The kids have a single shot .22. Have to work at safety with them.
I was going to practice with the HENRY for Tinny's challange. Alas, I left the ammo bag at home.
Spent most of the time with the boys.

You do not have to practice with the HENRY for Tinny's challange.
There is no way tinner will hit 3 two inch bullseyes with his Rugger at 50 yards.
If he does he is in the wrong bussines

Cobbish, please read the bet, its not him against me, its if he can do it, that's why I put $100 in the pot. BTW the targets were red and one inch. ,piece of cake really so long as you are trained and on your game.. I am willing to pay money to see Mikie use his Henry to put three consistent holes in 2inch targets at 50 yards, let alone one inch. Let me be perfectly clear, man target, three red circles, one head, one throat, one heart, nail each target once in consecutive order from 50 yards with the Henry and you win. .
Mikie, you gonna take up the bet, I'll even let you take some practice shots.
I would like to see some pictures of the event and the outcome.
Games on???
Common guys, I gotta get some excitement goin' here.

Hey Mikie, if you decide to take up the bet, have soembody carry your ammo and be carefull how you point the weapon, people don't take too kindly to havin' one o' them awesome Henry's starin' at them. . tin-man

Tinner,
I didn't want to steal Mikies deal but wanted to clarify what the bet was, after reading following posts I got it. The red dots on a black target do make it a bit easier at 50 yards. With open sights I would have to squint to find your dots but hitting the 3 areas mentioned on a silhouette (ftf) is OK.
When Mikie and you are done I could be talked into a little wager.

Jeff, Mikie has not formerly accepted the challenge yet, not sure if he done got cold feet or not, but let's give him an opportunity, if he chickens out let's talk, I would be delighted to take your money. Cheers, John

Tinny,
I will take your challenge. However, I have 2 conditions.
1. No money will change hands. Fine Upstanding Gents wager.
2. I need a few more sessions to get really familiar with the rifle.
Do you accept?

I am happy to cover that bet first with Mikie shooting and then will cover giving Tinner the chance to double his money with him shooting his 38 snub at same target and conditions.

Hey Mikie, now ya talkin' no issues, take as long as you want, when you think you are ready, gather a few friends and document the event, should be fun. I too will apply conditions, before I do my thing, I will need some practice time as well, its been awhile.
OK so what's with the wager concept, we is all fine upstandin' gents, well most of us anyway, sorry to say this but the jury is out on DWRAT since his wifey's got him by the nuts and so he ain't quite upstandin' as things go, is he, anyway I digress, so according to my search a wager is
Definition of WAGER
a : something (as a sum of money) risked on an uncertain event : stake b : something on which bets are laid : gamble a wager c, the betting or staking of something of value, with consciousness of risk and hope of gain, on the outcome of a game, a contest, or an uncertain event whose result may be determined by chance or accident or have an unexpected result by reason of the skill set of the individuals involved.
So, if it is such that no money is to change hands we can do a wager as in pay for gasoline, shells, cartridges, yogurts or whatever up to the value of US$100, being the case I accept, with the condition there are witnesses for the event and pictures are take.
Agree?

Jeff, its a .22 Ruger Bull nose pistol so save yer money, I don't like to see growed men cry. At twenty five yards I used to knock the pimples off of a do-das's ass, no braggin' jus' fact. The cor blimey snipers course don't leave any room for wimps of questionable talent. Try a head shot at approximately 1500 yards, using the appropriate weapon of course and then talk to me. I know you will pick up on, used to, that's why I will need a few practice rounds to get back on my game, then games on. urahhhhh. tin-man

How did you deprime and size without dies? That's really tough.

So how many successful head shots have you made at 1500 yards Tinny? I'll bet several and I'm sure they were shooting back at the same I'll guess.

I purchased the Lee 50th anniversary kit. I have dies for my 45ACP.need to get a set for the 45Colt. Figured I would start with a single stage press at this point. If I enjoy it I can move up to a multi-stage.
Tinny, OK your on. $100.00
