Default Almost that time of year to fire'em up?

Fire them up boys; getting close for a run somewhere since it is under 148 degrees now.... Better get a few in before we all go broke or OB raises taxes again and again and again.... When is this guy going to go away?"

Hi Fitz, just what taxes did Obama raise that have affected us from Arizona?

Being in China I don't get all the low down on these events, help me understand what I can expect when I return this Christmas. Thanks tin-man

I'm willing to bet that by this time next year, BHO will realize that the joyride is over and his future is limited. Even the voters who believed him have turned on him. He won't be safe from humiliation anywhere!?

Only thing I can say is the man let all his supporters down and things can not get any worst. Housing, savings accounts 0 interest, shovel jobs, solar jobs, trucking regulations, oil regulations, (may finally startb picking up), gas pricing, etc

At least the VP is a car guy? Pretty sure he owns a 64/65 vette and misses it bad. Word is the Secret Service won't let him drive it!

As much as I love talking politics, I need to remind everyone.... Per Brent. No politics.

So to get back on track.

My Cobra is now ready for a run. Just changed out the starter. Seems it had a bad spot on the commutator. I find out the starter is from a late 80's block. Tommy told me it came from 92.

Took mine out about an hour ago and was the first time in 4 months I have driven it not coming back sweating up a storm. It was almost pleaseant at a balmy 95 degrees. East siders read a story in yesterday's paper that the Mesa Riverview shopping area (202 and Dobson) is having a car show every saturday night for the next 3 months. I dont know if they have already been having one or its new. Anyone been?

Ron, if you don't mind can you help me understand what differentiates the 'east sider's" from the "west sider's", what for instance is the theoretical demarcation line. I am concluding being in Sun City West puts me in the "west sider's" category, am I right? John, AKA, tin-man

Tinny, The east siders tend to congregate in the southeast part of maricopa county (Mesqa, Gilbert Chandler, Tempe, Queen Creek, Awutukee etc. The west siders are mostly Glendale, Peoria, Sun City, Sun City West, Supreise.

Then the rest of of are in the middle between the 2. I lice in Horteast Phoenix/Scottsdale by the 101 and spend time every week for work all over the valley

Yes some of us YOUNGER GUYS still are young enough to be able to work for a living to support my cobra habit. You old farts sit around trying to remember what it was like to work

Yes Karl, I work to keep my Roush running and keep fuel in the tankwhich by the way runs much better now that Bob Reems and Charlie worked thier magic on my fuel injection system. I backfire a bit more but runs much stronger. Still can't get my fuel gauge to work but I have the right pickup unit for the tank Mickmate built me. - just need to get it installed.

See, I wanted to get my cobra while I was still young enough to fit into it and be able to climb out of it. Karl, we might have to wheel you up to the cobra by teh time you get yours finished

Boy Karl.... that is nothing if not lack of respect. These young guys.. seems like the world is a mystery to them. It's like they think that they are the first. Some of us are still working to support our Cobra habit and keep fuel in the tank regardless of whether or not the gauge and the sender are synched for ohmage rating....it's all OK. One day they will be old and they will have trouble getting in and out of thier car. They will look back on these writings and wonder "what the hell was I thinking?".. Or perhaps, "was I thinking?" It all comes back. Keep working on your car.. you'll get there. I just hope we'll be around to see it........ Or I'll be around to see it.

Actually in all seriousness I have all the respect in the world for you guys but every once in a while I have to get in a "shot" myself. I remember the beast that was Karl's cobra before and from the sounds of it the new one will be even meaner.

But why did you have to go and out an automatic in this one again?

Default Now, that's smarts,

[quote=csx4910;1151937]Yes some of us YOUNGER GUYS still are young enough to be able to work for a living to support my cobra habit. You old farts sit around trying to remember what it was like to work

Now gosh darn wait a minute, who in the heck y'all callin' old farts? Some of us seasoned folks are still pluggin' away workin' for a living in far off places during our golden years just to keep young n' agile so we can chase wimmin, drive fast cars, walk with a swagger, have big brass balls, do shots, errr, hmm, seems I heard that spoken once before, but I forgotten who said it, anyway, I for one am decidedly not an old fart and still work.

Ron, that was not very nice. I really think you owe those guys who are seniors and are still working an apology

Cheers, tin-man
