Default Just for Mikie-You Tube Video

I took a video driving over the new Hoover Dam Chasm Bridge just so Mikie can see that when you are driving you don't get the "high up" feeling because you really can't see down.
A 2 minute video from AZ to NV approach bridge then the real bridge with tourists in the walkway to the right taking photos.

When we came back last week you really didn't know when you were going over the bridge.
Mikie don't be scared.

Again one more time.... I'm not going over that man made, easily breakable structure that sits 9million feet over a wildly rushing very cold river.

You fly on airplanes. How many bridges have fallen down compared to airplanes (which is also man made)?

Bob, I don't know about the vid you highlighted, but the one by the same guy on Huntington Beach during the US Open Surf Championship was great!

I think a dislike or aversion to heights is probably somewhat common but not nearly as prevelant as the very real fear that a Chevy powered car will spank a large majority of the FoMoCo equipted cars (at least on this forum).

Does anyone else think Karl is sounding like a BB rolling around in a 55 gallon drum?

I do believe you are right vis a vis the height issue its called acrophobia and is prevalent in many people, but I am surprised it affected our Prez for all the hyperbole reasons I stated previously. Hey Dan, I am still waiting for my answer, cat got your tongue? That said, I guess its also a perception thang given if a person is, say, walking across a flimsy structure your common sense kicks in and your intuition tells you 'hey is this safe". Whereas as Dave quite rightly pointed out, people fly and generally don't have this fear. However Dave needs to explain how and airplane can fall down, I don't think that is possible based on the definition, to fall, crash would have been more appropriate, but we all got the message. I am just having some fun at Dave's expense, he's such a great guy in that respect. Where was I, oh yes, acrophobia, in many respects people have a tendency to fear heights given its not a natural event for us and we are more comfortable on terra firma.

So to put an end to this just how did Mikie get across the chasm?

As to Karl's BB roll in a 55 gallon drum statement about a Chebby spankin' a FoMoCo engine, its in my humble opinion he just based it on his like for Chebby products. I have to think if all thangs are equal and if two SPF, ERA, Cobras with the exact same equipment but one had a Chebby engine and the other a FoMo engine, but with same displacements both having the same transmissions and rear end ratios. I think I got that right, I am guessing the contest would be the result of the best driver. Am I right?,

Hey Dan, do you consider it your natural born right to take shots at peoples posts, hyperbolic, err, scratch that, hyperbole notwithstanding and to the contrary. Did I miss it whereby you were voted the club sharpshooter, or do you just get a certain glee in taking shots? Far be it for me to say what should or should not be done, but seein' you have the attention of that absolutely DDG lady Adrianne, why do you waste your time on these threads?

BTW, will you be able to make it to the gathering on December 17th at the Safeway parking lot? I am really looking forward to meeting Adrianna and err, well, and you of course and seein 'that Orange Chebby you drive, err, that is assuming its working of course and you didn't have to take the bus. Now that was a shot..

Cheers, John, AKA,tin-man

Danr has always been on both sides of vollies. He does a good job of firing them but he also has opened himself up to SO many opportunities to be on the receiving end.
