Default New Years Day 2012

What a great day to drive your cobra. 20 AZ Cobra members showed up in Wickenburg for the assault on Yarnell Hill and the Road House Restaurant.

A great trip. Ralphie says he had a flat tire but since this is New Years Day we assume he just got too hammered last night like some of the east siders. Karl, Dave, Dan?

We went once and froze our butts off. Hate the cold. Go figure it was real nice this weekend. Glad you had a nice ride.

I havent made it to the last few runs but I hope everyone had a good one. My wife had abdominal surgery 2 weeks ago and is still having some problems and I didnt feel comfortable leaving her. Did spend some time working on my other cars though.
Happy New Year!

I'm glad it was a great trip. I hate that we missed it. Perfect weather for a ride up the hill. Eskimo-girl and I are both down and out with a bad cold. Terrible timing.

Bob, this time I told the truth!
While backing out of the garage at 08:35, I noticed the right front tire was totally flat. Removed the wheel and headed for BIG-O Tires, of course they were closed, did find an Auto Zone open and bought a tire plug kit. On the way home saw a small tire repair shop open, he found the valve stem seal leaking at the rim. Drove home, put wheel back on, drove to Ahwatukee to pick up co-pilot/navigator Chuck and drove like a bat-outa-hell to catch up with you guys and glad you were all still there chowing down when we arrived.
Hey, it wasn't a 14 second pit stop but all-in-all, 55 minutes late wasn't bad!

I think I've got a better excuse than some wuss saying, "I thought it was gonna be cold!"

How much longer is the drive if you continue to Prescot and is the road and drive worth it?

A good run for all even if late. The twisties up Yarnell Hill and the slower twisties going into Prescott was great. Going on to Prescott added 30 miles to the round trip for us. Well worth it for the views and driving the esses.. Shirt sleeve weather all afternoon even at 6,000ASL. Great group of people as usual.

Well, Dan was trying to live down his new found fame. If you were watching the news about three weeks ago and you heard them announce the first case in influenza reported in the valley for this season,,,,,,that was me. Been down about four weeks. Need to rest and get back to work on Tuesday. I'll make it next year.. and maybe, just maybe another run all the way to Prescott for lunch if this weather and my health holds.. By the way, did Tinner manage to stay between the lines? Did he even make it? I think I see his car in the photo, but can't be sure.

Someone said we had 25 feet of sun yesterday, they were right. Good thing I had my sun tires on , could of got stuck going up Yarnell Hill. Hope you feel better Dan, missed your smiling face . I'm glad to see all of the people, a great group of club members. Thank you Tin-Man and was a pleasure to meet you and your pretty wife.

Better, thanks for asking. Went to work today. Not wonderful, but I got through it with a minimum of coughing and hacking. Looks like I'm going to live in spite of some reports to the contrary. Looking forward to the next run... if this weather holds.

You were missed on the run. Dave was missed only because people were asking for Judy's cookies.

Met Tinny's wife. Not sure how he snagged her.
