Superlift out of Business!!
Spoke to Todd Andrews from SPF at Barrett-Jackson and he told me Superlifts have went out of business. I just bought mine last year at the show. For anyone that has purchased a lift from them we are out of luck if it needs anything unless there are vendors willing to service them. Anyone else heard this or had to deal with it yet?

I got mine from "Autolifters" a few years ago only to have the same thing happen.

The real question is why did they go out of buisness? Hopefully it wasn't because of an injury lawsuit or two...then I would worry about what I had .
|
First guess for me would be competition from imported lifts - you know - China!
I hate it when junk from there puts American companies out of business. I don't know if that's what happened here or not. Could be just another case of the bad economy taking its toll. Hal |
American Automotive Equipment has had the parts I've needed for my lift. Yes, their stuff is from "off shore" but you'll be hard pressed to find stuff that isn't. I've received good service from them.

I bought my Superlift/Superior 4 post lift over 10 years ago when they were a reputable company. They were sold several years ago (maybe more than once) and there have been many posts on several forums in the past couple of years about people getting ripped off by them and not receiving what they paid for. It's no wonder they went out of business. Probably to protect themselves from all the lawsuits.

Bend-Pack is doing the same thing, mine is 10 years old and was made in USA. High quality and assembled perfectly, no issues to this day.
A friend just bought 3 of them............they are a piece of crap, Chineese junk. What a difference in quality, this country better wise up. ........uh, nevermind. |

I emailed this company last week and they called me with a price. They are American made. Maybe some of our Texas guys know this company?

Hello,
We're Gemini Auto Lifts.... we were the manufacture that built many of the lifts for Superlifts before they went out of business. I'm commenting for two reasons: First, the original poster had a concern over parts availability. We are still in business, still building lifts for many of the dealers across the US (Superlifts competitors) and can certainly still help with any parts you might need. :) Secondly, we'd like to clarify some things. We also got caught in the middle of them closing their doors. We had them on open account and had quite an account recievable for them. This STUNG more than we can ever say.... and the only prudent thing we could conclude (standing in line wasn't an option for us) was to negotiate with Superlifts to keep us from having to pursue and incur any additional costs. We took their 800 number and website in hopes to obtain some sales to offset any loss we had. We'd be more than happy to help any of you that are looking or have a need, whether it's just parts or for a lift!
